Job summary

Day Wireless Systems is seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead our field service technicians and project teams. This role oversees service projects, drives customer satisfaction, and partners with Area/Operations Managers on budgeting and financial reporting.

The FSM collaborates on business development, ensures safety and quality, and optimizes operations with strong leadership and wireless technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum eight or more years related experience and/or training.
• Proven experience in field service operations, with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong technical expertise in wireless communication systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
• Solid understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field service technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Oversee service teams, coordinate activities, and resolve or escalate service issues.
• Lead planning, execution, and completion of service projects within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and solution implementation.
• Maintain regular customer communication to understand needs and ensure service satisfaction.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory levels and procurement for field operations.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and prepare reports on performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
• Implement best practices to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Plan crew schedules, customer contacts, site access, subcontractors, parts orders; manage logistics.
• Oversee financial results of individual jobs and department profitability.
• Perform job walks and create bids for profitable field work.
