Job summary

Essintial Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead a team of field technicians delivering on-site IT installations, maintenance, and support. The FSM uses real-world field experience to guide daily operations, set priorities, and ensure work is completed on time and to spec.

The ideal candidate has hands-on field IT experience, strong communication skills, and a record of mentoring technicians.

Qualifications

5+ years in field IT services or related technical field.
Experience leading or mentoring others is a plus, not required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel and be available for after-hours escalations.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard field technicians.
Manage daily workload assignment, scheduling, and technician dispatch.
Coach technicians on performance, technical skills, and professionalism; address issues early and directly.
Monitor team performance and ensure utilization and quality targets.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with SOWs, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns and critical service events.
Communicate clearly with technicians, customers, and internal teams.
Coordinate with Project Managers to understand scope, expectations, and deadlines.
