Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced field service leader to coordinate start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment at customer sites. You will provide hands-on supervision, mentor technicians, and act as the primary technical resource for product expertise.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems or related field.
• 2+ years of field service experience, focusing on start-up and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, and control systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced communication protocols and networking concepts is preferred.
• Prior supervisory or lead-level experience is preferred.
• LOTO procedures involving multiple power sources are required.
• Experience in data center, hospital, or water treatment plant environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Provide daily supervision, training, and mentorship to field service technicians.
• Serve as primary technical resource for product expertise and advanced problem-solving.
• Oversee site commissioning activities and manage punch list completion and project closeout documentation.
• Identify and escalate project risks and ensure teams have tools, materials, and resources.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, production, operations, and admin teams to address quality concerns and support testing and training.
