Job summary

IEM is a leader in electrical distribution systems with 75 years of experience. The Field Service Lead will manage a team of technicians, lead startup and commissioning activities, and provide hands-on support at customer sites.

You’ll travel to manufacturing or field locations to train staff and drive projects to on-time completion. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in field service, strong leadership, and a solid background in electrical equipment and safety, including LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of field service experience with startup/commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Experience with switchgear, distribution systems, and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup and commissioning activities for electrical equipment across multiple sites.
• Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and training to field service technicians.
• Serve as technical lead for product expertise and troubleshooting guidance.
• Travel to facilities for training, factory tests, and shop testing as required.
• Coordinate with project managers and commercial/administration teams for scope and punch-list closure.
