Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Lead to supervise a team of technicians and engineers during start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites. This working-lead role blends hands-on fieldwork with team oversight across 2-6 active sites.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in field service with electrical equipment, strong leadership, and safety experience. Expect travel to regional sites and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of field service experience with start-up/commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear, distribution and control systems preferred.
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning activities across multiple sites.
• Supervise and mentor field service technicians on a daily basis.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting guidance.
• Travel to customer sites and training facilities as required.
• Identify risks and coordinate with management to address issues.
• Ensure tools, materials, and documentation are ready at each site.
• Coordinate with commercial and admin teams for scope changes.
