Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer to learn Veeco’s technology and drive customer satisfaction through on-site support in North America. You will install, calibrate, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot Annealing and Lithography equipment.

Travel up to 85% within North America is required, with occasional international travel. A Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 2 years of experience are required; strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical area required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; military training welcomed.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, robotics, and computer controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment during installation, upgrades, testing, warranty, and repair.
• Isolate and resolve equipment and systems malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Assist with implementation of new processes, methods, and designs.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Serve as on-site contact for all equipment, technical, and field-related matters.
• Report tool actions/events and daily activities in field service reports.
• Adhere to safety and confidentiality policies.
