Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain Veeco annealing and lithography equipment.

The role requires up to 85% travel, primarily across North America, with occasional international travel. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field, at least 2 years of field service experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical area required.
• Minimum of 2 years of field service experience; military training welcome.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, upgrade, testing, warranty and repair of equipment following safety protocols.
• Isolate and resolve equipment malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Assist with implementation of new processes and designs.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Serve as onsite point of contact for equipment, communications, and field support.
• Report tool actions and daily activities in field service reports.
• Adhere to safety and confidentiality policies.
