Job summary

Lam Research in Austin, TX seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site repair and maintenance of complex semiconductor equipment. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and minimize downtime, while leading installations and start-up activities.

Ideal candidates have a BS in electronics or engineering (or equivalent with 6+ years) and can travel frequently to customer sites. Lam offers hybrid work models and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electronics or engineering or equivalent field.
• Associates degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or Military experience.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality on-site repair and maintenance service of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and minimize downtime.
• Lead installations and/or relocate equipment at customers’ sites and perform start-up activities.
• Maintain records and reports coordinating with supervisors and customers.
• Assist in planning and execution of projects of limited scope.
• Frequent travel will be required.
