Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Northeast US. This role requires residence in the Northeast and involves extensive travel to support distributors, contractors, and installers.

You will train personnel, test products, and represent the company at events while reporting market insights to leadership. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in water systems or related industries, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and willingness for heavy travel.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related water systems or industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Travel about 70% of the time, including up to 50% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and provide technical training to distributors, contractors, dealers, and installers.
• Test and troubleshoot Franklin Electric products; supervise installations.
• Represent Franklin Electric at tradeshows and events; conduct product demonstrations as needed.
• Collect and report market information on competitors, distribution, and customer needs.
• Write weekly and special reports highlighting site or product issues.
• Interpret a wide range of technical instructions and variables.
