Job summary

Franklin Electric is seeking a qualified engineer to join our Northeast team in New York. You will schedule and provide technical training, test and troubleshoot products, and support installations while promoting Franklin Electric products at events.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of water systems experience, a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, and willingness to travel up to 70% with overnight at times.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related water systems experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Technology, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience (required).
• Travels 70 percent of the time, including up to 50 percent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and provides technical training to distributor personnel, contractors, dealers, and/or installers.
• Tests and troubleshoots Franklin Electric products. Supervises and assists at product installations.
• Promotes and represents Franklin Electric products and programs at tradeshows and special events. Conducts product demonstrations as needed.
• Collects and reports marketing information pertaining to competitive products, industry distribution or personnel changes, and customer needs or desires.
• Writes and submits weekly reports, as well as special reports needed to highlight problems at specific sites and/or with certain customers or products.
• Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and/or other employees of the organization.
