Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. seeks a Field Service Engineer for the Northeast US. The role is full-time and based in New Hampshire, within the Engineering department.

The incumbent will train distributors and installers, test and troubleshoot products, and represent Franklin Electric at events while collecting market data and reporting on site issues. Travel will be extensive (70% overall, up to 50% overnight). A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with 3–5 years of water systems

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related water systems or industry experience (preferred).
• Travels 70 percent of the time, including up to 50 percent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and provides technical training to distributor personnel, contractors, dealers, and/or installers.
• Tests and troubleshoots Franklin Electric products. Supervises and assists at product installations.
• Promotes and represents Franklin Electric products and programs at tradeshows and special events. Conducts product demonstrations as needed.
• Collects and reports marketing information pertaining to competitive products, industry distribution or personnel changes, and customer needs or desires.
• Writes and submits weekly reports, as well as special reports needed to highlight problems at specific sites and/or with certain customers or products.
• Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and/or other employees of the organization.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Technology, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
