Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Pyxis automated dispensing system across the assigned region, including DoD/DHA facilities. The role is field-based with daily travel and requires residence within 30 miles of Bradenton/Sarasota, FL, with potential overnight travel.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hardware and software, uphold regulatory compliance, and build strong customer relationships while working independently and with the team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in STEM.
• 1–3 years of hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Proficient in Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic instruments.
• Experience with remote and on-site technical support.
• Ability to communicate professionally in English.
• Willingness to travel within 30 miles of Tampa FL or relocate.
• Familiar with MDR and service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to and resolve work orders within service-level expectations.
• Diagnose and repair proprietary hardware and software components.
• Independently troubleshoot complex issues and elevate when needed.
• Support government accounts requiring CAC eligibility.
• Execute preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, and calibrations.
• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts and assets.
• Document service activities and time logs; collaborate with Sales/Implementation teams.
• Follow procedures for compliance and quality, including MDR.
