Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems across the assigned region. You will support DoD and DHA facilities and manage work orders with SLAs.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in hardware/software IT support, are eligible for security access, and can travel daily with occasional air travel. Medical device repair experience and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Eligibility for access to facilities may be required (background checks / badges).
• Strong solving, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple priorities, and travel as required.
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Daily car travel required, with occasional air travel and overnight stays.
• CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems across the assigned region.
• Support Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency facilities.
• Respond to, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders within service-level expectations.
• Diagnose and repair proprietary hardware and software components with full case ownership.
• Independently tackle sophisticated issues and elevate to Senior or Lead Field Service Engineers as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, and calibrations.
• Manage inventory according to company policy.
• Develop professional customer relationships and communication.
• Complete accurate service documentation, including expenses and time tracking.
• Comply with MDR and service procedures.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
