Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to support the Pyxis MMS automated dispensing systems in hospitals within the region. This remote field-based role requires daily travel to customer sites, with 50% travel and a need for a valid driver's license.

A company vehicle is provided and candidates should reside within 30 miles of the base location. Responsibilities include remote and on-site technical support, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with Sales and Implementation teams.

Qualifications

3-5 years of combination Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting proprietary and standard applications.
24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards.

Responsibilities

Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems within hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues; document activities.
Implement preventive maintenance and support Sales/Implementation teams as applicable.
Maintain inventory and document field activity, expenses and time distribution.
Continue training to advance products and prepare for next level in 2-3 years.
