Job summary

Southwest Surgical, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair ZEISS automated electromechanical systems across the Southwest region, with emphasis on the Denver area. You will work directly with customers, sales, and ZEISS support to ensure timely service and satisfaction.

The role requires travel up to 50% domestically and internationally for training, a 4-year degree or technical certificate, and the ability to read schematics, work safely in clinical labs, and

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or technical certificate or related military electronics experience; equivalent training and experience accepted.
• 3–5 years of professional work experience in field service or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Safety for BSL 1–3 environments and handling of Level 3 (and below) biohazards.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical schematics and engineering docs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex automated electromechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs, aiming for solutions in a single visit where possible.
• Document SVOs, quotations, and PMs with accuracy and within required timeframes.
• Coordinate with customers, ZEISS support, and sales management to ensure satisfaction and timely resolutions.
• Complete preventive maintenance for contract customers within required timelines.
