Job summary

GE HealthCare in California seeks a Field Service Engineer to support customers in Orange County and North San Diego. You will perform troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service on GE OEC surgical C-Arm equipment, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong technical skills, effective communication and a focus on resolving issues quickly, with opportunities for training and participation in revenue programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent military education with 2+ years servicing electronic equipment.
• Alternative: Associates with 2 years service experience or High School diploma with 12+ years in electronic equipment servicing.
• Experience interfacing with internal teams and customers in a solution-based service.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repairs on designated GE OEC Surgical C-Arm equipment.
• Complete Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions; manage repair parts cycle times.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal service records timely.
• Communicate daily with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Keep tools and test equipment calibrated and maintained.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure service delivery aligns with GE Healthcare policies.
• Utilize escalation processes and root-cause analysis to solve issues.
• Assist with revenue programs and contract renewals when opportunities arise.
• Operate as part of the local team to service accounts in the assigned area.
• May train clinical staff on designated equipment.
