Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and service on mammography and X-ray equipment across the San Francisco Bay Area. This role requires independent troubleshooting, timely installations, and driving customer satisfaction on a first-shift schedule.

The position supports hospital or healthcare systems with strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with regional teams.

Qualifications

Associate degree in related field or equivalent military education with 4 years of equipment service experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to work after hours and on-call shifts, including weekends, and manage multiple priorities while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Perform timely preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of medical equipment at healthcare facilities.
Lead equipment installations and coordinate with customers to ensure smooth deployments.
Act as primary escalation point for customer concerns and maintain proactive communication.
Document all work performed and follow GEHC quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with sales and service teams to identify value-added services and support contract growth.
Travel to customer sites as needed and manage on-site safety and operational procedures.
Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely follow-up to drive satisfaction.
