GE HealthCare in California seeks a Field Service Engineer to support customers in Orange County and North San Diego. You will perform troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service on GE OEC surgical C-Arm equipment, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent military education with 2+ years servicing electronic equipment.
• Alternative: Associates with 2 years service experience or High School diploma with 12+ years in electronic equipment servicing.
• Experience interfacing with internal teams and customers in a solution-based service.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repairs on designated GE OEC Surgical C-Arm equipment.
• Complete Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions; manage repair parts cycle times.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal service records timely.
• Communicate daily with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Keep tools and test equipment calibrated and maintained.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure service delivery aligns with GE Healthcare policies.
• Utilize escalation processes and root-cause analysis to solve issues.
• Assist with revenue programs and contract renewals when opportunities arise.
• Operate as part of the local team to service accounts in the assigned area.
• May train clinical staff on designated equipment.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repair support for GE OEC Surgical C-Arm equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instruction. Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated.
• Meeting Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Managing vendors’ service delivery processes in compliance with GE Healthcare policies.
• Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducting root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving.
• Participating in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
• Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
• May include training of clinical staff on designated equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent military education or Associates Degree with 2 years experience servicing electronic equipment, 3 years of relevant experience combined with successful completion of the GEHC Field Service Engineer Apprentice Program, or a High School Diploma/GED and 12 or more years experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $76,560.00-$114,840.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
