Job summary

GE HealthCare in the San Ramon, CA area is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to perform on-time preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations across mammography and X-ray modalities. The role supports the San Francisco Bay Area/South Bay, primarily first shift (8 AM–5 PM PT, Mon–Fri).

The candidate will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence, lead installations, and collaborate with sales for service growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent military education plus 4 years servicing electronic equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Experience with Web apps and Microsoft Office suite.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Willing to be on-call after hours including weekends.
• Proven ability to prioritize and maintain customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of medical equipment in hospital settings.
• Troubleshoot, service repairs and installations of moderate complexity.
• Lead customer communications and act as escalation point for issues.
• Own issues from dispatch to resolution and ensure follow-up.
• Collaborate with team to provide value-added service and renewals.
• Document work, adhere to policies and regulatory requirements.
