Job summary

Waters is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments within the United States, with travel as required. The role requires strong electronics and mechatronics skills, PLCs, and the ability to work remotely without direct supervision while traveling up to 50% of the time.

The candidate will install, maintain, upgrade, and repair laboratory instruments, collaborating with service teams to drive revenue through preventive maintenance and instrument moves.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related disciplines.
• Experience with electronics, electro-mechanical devices, PLCs, and pneumatics.
• Ability to interact with IT and lab leadership to schedule software upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Lead customer expectations and provide follow-up plans.
• Collaborate with customers to schedule system upgrades.
• Document all customer complaints in the proper systems.
