Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Midwest region, including Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. The role focuses on on-site installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory balances and moisture analyzers, with an emphasis on delivering excellent service and building lasting customer relationships.

Ideal candidates have at least an associate degree or technical certification and a minimum of two years in field service, with strong troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field, or High School Diploma/GED with relevant technical certification.
• Minimum 2 years of field service, maintenance, instrumentation, or related technical experience.
• Experience calibrating balances, scales, moisture analyzers, or similar laboratory instruments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain technical equipment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on site.
• Diagnose equipment issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain service documentation, reports, and records.
• Manage workload and schedule to ensure on-time customer support.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and share best practices.
• Provide customers with technical guidance and product recommendations.
