Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane US in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Service Engineer to cover an assigned territory. Under moderate supervision you will provide technical service and support to customers onsite and remotely, applying knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, system operations, programming, and diagnostics.

You will install components and solutions offered by MEUS-IAD, support in-house diagnostic systems, promote value-added services and spare parts, and coordinate with Senior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related experience.
• Some experience in field service for industrial automation.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools used for machine repair.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including schematics, logic, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support to customers onsite and remotely using learned knowledge and experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, system operations, programming, and equipment diagnostics.
• Install components and solutions offered by MEUS-IAD, applying knowledge of programming, calibrating, tuning, rebuilding, and maintaining customer equipment in the field.
• Support in-house diagnostic systems, including simulators, programming systems, and tools.
• Present and sell value-added services (VAS) to help customers accomplish their uptime goals, including CloudCNC, extended warranties, optional functions, machine tuning, control upgrades, and training.
• Promote the sale of spare parts that can further support customer machine uptime.
• Enter all technical claims, service activity, follow-ups, and other customer-related inquiries into the database while maintaining data integrity.
• Coordinate with and take instruction and support advice from Senior Engineers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
