Job summary

Mitsubishi Corporation in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Service Engineer to provide intermediate technical service and on-site support to machine tool builders, dealers, and end users.

You will diagnose equipment, install components and MEUS-IAD solutions, and support in-house diagnostic systems while promoting value-added services. Travel up to 80% and a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or related experience.
• 3+ years of field service for industrial automation.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools for machine repair.
• Hands‑on experience using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including schematics, logic, and procedures.
• Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Experience working in a customer-focused, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and support to MTBs, dealers, and end-users.
• Provide on-site service at customer facilities using knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, system operations, programming, and diagnostics.
• Log service activity, follow-ups, opportunities, and inquiries into the database.
• Provide multi-channel call center support (phone, email, text, chat).
• Enter all technical claims and related data with data integrity.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns to maintain customer uptime.
• Install components, software, and MEUS-IAD solutions in the field.
• Promote value-added services to help customers uptime goals.
• Coordinate with Senior Engineers and participate in training.
• Create and update technical documentation.
