Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane US is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver on-site technical service and support for machine tool customers in the Houston area and beyond. You will diagnose equipment, perform field repairs, and assist dealers and end-users with uptime goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years of field service experience in industrial automation, and strong skills with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical/mechanical tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
• 3+ years of field service experience in industrial automation.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools for machine repair.
• Hands-on experience using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including schematics, logic, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience in a customer-focused, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service and support to MTBs, dealers, and end-users.
• Log and track service activity and inquiries in the database.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and maintain customer uptime.
• Present and sell value-added services (VAS) including CloudCNC, warranties, upgrades, and training.
• Travel up to 80% within the assigned region.
