Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to support onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of photolithography equipment in Hillsboro, OR.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize complex systems while maintaining customer relations in a fast-paced, cleanroom environment. The role requires 1–2 years of related semiconductor equipment experience, strong mechanical and testing tool skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• AA or BS degree in a related field is preferred, plus 1-2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system is helpful for operating and troubleshooting the system.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (semiconductor manufacturing equipment).
• Hands on mechanical skills required.
• Hands on experience with electronic testing tools required.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment (full clean room attire).

Responsibilities

• Check and maintain equipment within factory specifications.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system.
• Perform repair maintenance or unit replacement per procedures.
• Provide technical support to minimize downtime and ensure customer relations.
• Identify and report equipment errors and status updates for troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate activity documentation and periodic reports.
• Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.
