Job summary

IMS Nanofabrication in Hillsboro, OR, is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to support Multi-beam mask writers at customer sites. The role requires in-person presence at our Hillsboro facility and at customer locations, with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering, 2–5+ years in field service, 3–5 years customer-facing experience, and background in metrology or lithography equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 2 - 5+ years of Field Service experience.
• At least 3 – and preferably 5-years of customer-facing experience and good written and verbal communication skills.
• You exhibit good problem-solving skills.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy being part of and integrating with a global team.
• You are excited to be part of a fast-paced and fast-growing entity.
• You have a prior metrology or lithography equipment support background.
• You have troubleshooting experience with ultra-high vacuum systems.
• You have experience in Linux/UNIX server system administration.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a growing team of Field Service Engineers in Hillsboro, OR.
• Install, annual preventive maintenance, and issue resolution of a fleet of Multi-beam mask writers.
• Ensure IMS-defined methodologies are followed and provide feedback to Headquarters.
• Participate in special task force teams handling customer escalations and incidents.
• Communicate status updates clearly to IMS U.S. leadership.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with local tool owners and stakeholders.
• Attend fab-related customer meetings to update on issue resolution and maintenance.
