Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on advanced analytical instruments at customer sites and in-house.

This role requires IQ/OQ/PQ qualification experience and familiarity with Waters ACQUITY HPLC/UPLC systems. The position involves diagnosing complex instrument issues, maintaining detailed service reports, building strong customer relationships, and supporting regional growth with some overnight travel up

About the role!

The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, repair, preventive maintenance (PM), and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of advanced analytical instruments—including ACQUITY HPLC/UPLC systems—at customer sites and in-house. Mass Spectrometry experience is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Perform installation, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance on Waters ACQUITY HPLC/UPLC, and related analytical instruments (e.g., Agilent, Shimadzu, Thermo, Dionex).
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ qualification protocols and maintain compliance with GMP, GLP, and safety standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problems on complex laboratory equipment, including GC, LC, UPLC, and related peripherals (e.g., headspace, autosamplers).
• Complete detailed service reports and documentation for each service ticket and regulatory submission.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and identify business opportunities for service growth.
• Participate in the growth of the region and company by supporting business development initiatives.
• Travel to various customer locations as required; 25% overnight travel may be necessary.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial related calculations.
• Experience with Mass Spectrometry & Chromatography (Waters Xevo, QDa & ACQUITY Specialist)
