Full Spectrum Lab Services from CBRE offers a professional suite of services to a variety of clients in the life sciences industry, including pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and genomics, as well as contract research organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
Our comprehensive range of services includes laboratory consulting, real estate services, instrumentation repair and maintenance, full asset management, and more—covering the entire spectrum of life sciences facilities. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, preventive maintenance (PM), and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of advanced analytical instruments at customer sites and in-house.
- Perform installation, calibration, repair, and PM on complex laboratory equipment and related analytical instruments (e.g., Agilent, Waters, Perkin Elmer, Shimadzu, Thermo).
- Execute IQ/OQ/PQ qualification protocols and maintain compliance with GMP, GLP, and safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problems on complex laboratory equipment and related peripherals (e.g., headspace, autosamplers).
- Develop and validate methods using instrument platforms; optimize chromatographic conditions for complex sample matrices.
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation for each service ticket and regulatory submission.
- Train customers and other service representatives on instrument operation, maintenance, and software.
- Act as a technical escalation point for critical service issues and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and identify business opportunities for service growth.
- Support regional growth and company objectives by contributing to business development initiatives.
- Travel to various customer locations as required; overnight travel may be necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills, including calculation of percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- Experience with Mass Spectrometry & Chromatography.
