Job summary

Outset Medical, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the Tablo Dialysis System across the United States.

You will work with clinical staff and patients, providing responsive technical support and collaborating with Production, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to drive continuous improvement. The role requires a strong engineering foundation, the ability to diagnose root causes, and the willingness to travel extensively, including overnight

Qualifications

• 5+ years field service/industry experience required.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and fluids components.
• Associates degree (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Fluidics) recommended or military equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and own transportation until Outset Medical fleet car is provided.
• Ability to charge travel expenses on personal card for reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair Tablo Dialysis Systems at customer facilities or patient homes.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance including calibrations and upgrades.
• Serve as technical SME on the Tablo product for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide first/second level technical support including after-hours coverage.
• Document service activities, manage spares inventory, and report parts usage in ERP.
• Complete field service and expense reports per standards.
• Support Marketing and Sales for seminars, trade shows, or demonstrations.
• Provide feedback to R&D on performance and serviceability.
• Manage company assets required for job functions.
• All other duties as assigned.
