Job summary

Outset Medical, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to install, preventively maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the Tablo Dialysis System at hospital, clinic, and patient sites nationwide, ensuring peak performance and minimal downtime.

As a field representative, you will work closely with clinical staff, coordinate with Production, Engineering and R&D, document all service activities in the Quality Management System, and travel extensively with overnight stays as required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Fluidics (military equivalent acceptable).
• 5+ years of Field Service/Industry experience required.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and fluids components.
• Must have valid driver's license and own transportation until company fleet is available.
• Ability to charge travel expenses on a personal credit card for reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair Tablo Dialysis Systems at customer facilities or patients' homes.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance including calibrations and upgrades.
• Serve as SME on the Tablo product, supporting stakeholders.
• Provide first/second level technical support, including after-hours coverage.
• Document all service activities and manage spares inventory in ERP.
• Prepare field service and expense reports per standards.
• Support Marketing and Sales for demonstrations and seminars as needed.
• Provide feedback to R&D on performance and customer comments.
• Manage and maintain company assets required for job functions.
