Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to support BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems across hospitals within the region. The role is field-based with daily travel to customer sites and requires residing within 30 miles of the base location; a company vehicle is provided.

You will diagnose, service, and repair hardware and software components, perform preventive maintenance, and document all activity.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical field, or 3-5 years related experience.
3-5 years hardware/software/IT experience supporting proprietary and standard applications.
24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment is required.
Strong mechanical, computer, verbal, and written skills; good time management.

Responsibilities

Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose, service and resolve issues; log and document activity.
Implement preventive maintenance and support Sales/Implementation teams as needed.
Maintain inventory, and produce accurate documentation of field activity and expenses.
Maintain company assets and adhere to policies; escalate to team lead when needed.
