Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team seeks a new Field Service Engineer through our development program. You will work across diverse customer environments, delivering technical solutions while gaining broad industry exposure and hands-on experience in power distribution.

This role includes a structured training curriculum, mentor guidance, and opportunities to advance into leadership. Expect regional travel and a strong foundation in power systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with graduation date before August 2027.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of one internship/co‑op experience or 3 months in a technician/maintenance role with machines or large equipment.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments including equipment design, testing, or research.
• Display proficiency in Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting Techniques, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, Protection & Control Design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
