Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team seeks a Field Service Engineer in the United States. You will work on power distribution equipment projects, deliver technical solutions, and gain broad industry exposure across diverse customer environments.

The role includes a structured development program with mentors, instructor-led training, and on-the-job learning to prepare you for leadership roles. A strong emphasis on safety and travel within the district is noted.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with graduation date before August 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• At least one internship/co‑op or 3 months experience in technician/maintenance roles.
• Willing to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform less conventional, complex engineering assignments including design, testing, or process studies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays, power quality measurements, disaster recovery, and protection & control design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance and warranties.
