Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the United States as part of its Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team. You will work on power distribution projects, provide solutions to customers, and gain hands-on experience across diverse environments.

The program emphasizes structured training, leadership development, and broad exposure to Eaton’s power systems. Requires relocation flexibility and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution, with graduation date before August of 2027.
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.8.
• Minimum of one internship/co‑op experience or an equivalent 3 months of experience in a technician or maintenance role.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or other visa programs.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Preferred qualifications include: degree in electrical/mechanical/mechatronics, GPA 3.2+, experience with electrical distribution equipment, power quality measurements, protective relays, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments involving equipment design, testing, or research.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, and Protection & Control Design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
