Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the United States to join its Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team. You will work on distribution equipment projects, delivering technical solutions and hands‑on testing in diverse customer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution, with graduation date before August of 2027
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
• Minimum of one internship/co‑op experience or an equivalent 3 months of experience in a technician or maintenance role working on or with machines, vehicles or large equipment
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment
• Deliver technical solutions to customers
• Perform less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations
• Display proficiency in Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting Techniques, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, Protection & Design
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties
