Job summary

KLA in Vancouver, WA is hiring a Customer Support Engineer to diagnose and repair complex capital equipment at customer sites, with 50% on-site work and travel as needed. You will evaluate issues remotely and on-site, prepare quotes, and coordinate with Installation Engineers to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes independence, problem-solving, and strong communication as you support SPTS/SP1 systems. A Bachelor's degree or 3 years’ experience is required; base pay is hourly and accompanied

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree or 3 years work experience.
• 50% of time at customer site or in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site.
• Ensure equipment enhances customer production.
• Repair and modify equipment at customer facility.
• Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses incurred and parts needed.
• Cross train and assist other field service engineers as appropriate.
• Maintain field service reports and communicate with management.
