Job summary

Pronto AI in the United States is seeking a Field Engineer to install, maintain, and repair our autonomous solutions at customer sites across mining, construction, and related industries.

You will perform on-site installations, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and basic training for customer staff, while collaborating with Engineering and Customer teams to ensure deployments meet specifications. Travel up to 75% is required, with opportunities for equity for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years in field service or similar technical role.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing tools.
• Solid understanding of vehicle systems (power, CAN bus, sensors, ECUs).
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle systems or robotics.

Responsibilities

• Install field hardware and software solutions on site.
• Calibrate and validate system performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose hardware/software issues in the field.
• Coordinate with customer teams and provide basic training.
• Document service activities and updates in CRM/ticketing tools.
