Pronto AI in the United States seeks a Field Engineer to install, maintain, and repair our autonomous vehicle technology across customer sites. You will handle on-site hardware and software installations, perform calibrations, and ensure deployments meet performance standards.

This hands-on role requires ~5 years in field service or automotive electronics, proficiency with diagnostic tools and Linux, and willingness to travel up to 75% to client sites.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Approximately 5+ years in field service or similar technical roles.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including power, CAN bus, sensors, and ECUs.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to customer sites.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle systems or robotics is a plus.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and remote settings.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and remote diagnostics.
• Excellent problem-solving in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Install Pronto hardware and software solutions at customer sites.
• Perform on-site system calibrations and validation tests.
• Coordinate with customer teams for training and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair field hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Document all service activities using ticketing/CRM tools.
• Provide basic training to customer staff as needed.
