Job summary

Pronto AI is seeking a Field Engineer to install, calibrate, and service autonomous vehicle technology at customer sites across the United States. You will install hardware and software, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure systems operate to spec.

This on-site frontline role requires hands-on skills, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 75%. The position offers competitive base pay, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits; remote work with travel to field sites.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years in field service, automotive electronics, mechatronics, or similar role.
• Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing tools.
• Solid understanding of vehicle systems (power, CAN bus, sensors, ECUs).
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and follow technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to customer sites.
• Based in the US (Arizona, Florida, Texas or Wyoming) or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Install Pronto hardware and software solutions on customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations to ensure system health.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the field.
• Document service activities using CRM, and communicate findings to engineering.
• Provide basic training to customer staff when required.
