Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to support analytical instruments across North England and Midlands, with occasional travel to Ireland and Mainland Europe. The role combines field service, training, and customer liaison to drive service performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include repair, calibration, qualification, installation, and validation of instruments, with on-site user training and routine maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Science, Biotechnology or similar discipline.
• Full Driving License.
• 5 years experience in a Scientific or Customer Service Environment.
• Experience of working in GMP environments preferred.
• Understanding of analytical techniques and instrumentation a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of customer service and act as an ambassador for the Company.
• Perform field service including repairs, preventative maintenance, qualifications, installation and validation.
• Provide onsite user training on defined product groups and organize routine maintenance.
• Ensure documentation, manuals and service data are up to date and compliant with QA.
• Promote instruments and service contracts as appropriate.
