Sartorius North America is seeking a dynamic Field Service Engineer to cover the St. Louis or Chicago area, working remotely from your assigned location.

In this role you will support Ambr system installations, commissioning, calibration and preventative maintenance across a range of high-tech systems for our biopharma customers. You will travel up to about 80%, document fault data, share product feedback with customers and internal teams, and ensure accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Formal training in mechanical/electrical hardware setup and configuration.
• 2+ years in commissioning or field service in high-tech engineering/manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventative maintenance and break-fix repairs across systems.
• Maintain fault finding data and feedback product performance to customers and internal groups; acquire product knowledge and pursue self-improvement.
• Perform in-house service activities in the Delaware office as needed.
• Follow service procedures to keep customer information and software/configuration up to date.
• Keep accurate records of time, expenses and work performed.
• Make independent repair decisions based on SLAs and contracts.
• Collaborate with teams to escalate issues to Product Support Engineer, Customer Support Engineer and Hardware Resource Coordinator.
• Travel up to 80% within assigned territory.
