Job summary

Per Mar Security Services seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings across Wisconsin. Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour, with an incentive program up to 10% of annual pay.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to travel, high school diploma, plus basic math and knowledge of fire/electrical codes. Company vehicle, tool allowance, and competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and submit to pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to state regulations.
• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Must be able to travel, as needed.
• Must have mathematical skills including quantities, percentages, area, and volume concepts.
• Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installation of alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify that all systems and devices installed function properly per manufacturers' specs.
• Use multimeters for volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis; hookup RJ31X to panel mountings.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the alarm system works.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
