Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test electronic security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings in Wisconsin. The role includes burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and access control, with emphasis on proper installations and safety compliance.

Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 per hour, with a monthly incentive program up to 10% of annual pay.

Qualifications

• Must have mathematical skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe installations.
• Must be able to travel, as needed.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
• Must obtain specified licenses/certifications to work in security.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
• Test and verify systems and devices function properly per manufacturer specs.
• Use multimeters for volts, OHMs and circuit analysis.
• Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
• Explain and demonstrate system operation to customers.
• Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers and Central Monitoring Station.
• All other reasonable duties as assigned by Supervisor.
