Job summary

Knoxville-based Pye-Barker Fire & Safety seeks an Outside Sales Representative to grow sales by building relationships with current and new clients in the fire, life safety and security sector. You will identify leads, understand client needs, demonstrate products, and manage ongoing account satisfaction from our Knoxville area office.

You’ll need a Bachelor’s degree or five years of related experience, excellent communication, and strong sales skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field or 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network to identify new sales leads.
• Communicate with customers to understand needs and suggest products or services.
• Demonstrate product functions and utility to meet customer needs.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
• Notify customers of new products, services, and enhancements.
• Maintain detailed reports of sales activities and relationships.
• Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
