Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow the customer base by developing and maintaining relationships with current and new clients. You will identify prospective customers, follow up on leads, and tailor product recommendations to meet client needs.

You will build a network of sources, report on sales activities, and contribute to marketing strategies while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field or 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers to identify needs and suggests products/services.
• Demonstrates products based on customer needs.
• Maintains customer relationships and resolves post-sale issues.
• Keeps customers informed about new products and enhancements.
