Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is seeking a field-based sales professional who will prospect in person with small business owners to grow NFIB membership and revenue. You will deliver NFIB’s proven presentation, build rapport, and close sales with a focus on outcomes and client value.

Expected success includes a hunter mentality, the ability to overcome objections, and converting leads in a dynamic in-field environment across local markets.

Qualifications

• Sales experience or transferable skills required.
• Hunter/closer sales approach in field with assumptive one-call close.
• No account management after the sale.

Responsibilities

• Meet small business owners through in-person prospecting (no appointment setting).
• Memorize and utilize NFIB’s 5-minute verbatim sales presentation.
• Build quick rapport and deliver an engaging presentation.
• Overcome objections and close the sale.
• Process payment on the spot.
