Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow our market share in Amarillo and surrounding areas.

You will develop new prospects, maintain existing customers, and visit them at their site or other off-site locations. Responsibilities include meeting or exceeding gross margin budgets, handling complaints, tracking competitors, executing sales programs, maintaining records, and participating in training and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in assigned territory in compliance with pricing policies.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
