Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow our fire, life safety and security solutions. You will build relationships with current clients and secure new business by identifying prospects, presenting products, and closing deals.

Travel to customers is required, and you will maintain detailed sales records and forecasts. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR at least five years of related experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
• Identifies customer needs and suggests products/services to meet them.
• Demonstrates functions of products based on customer needs.
• Maintains customer relationships and resolves issues post-sale.
• Keeps customers informed about new products and enhancements.
• Maintains detailed sales activity reports and forecasts.
