Job summary

NEFCO outside sales staff is responsible for developing and managing established as well as new customers by selling products and services that existing customers buy from NEFCO and prospecting for new customers to achieve sales and profitability goals. Candidate must be able to call on commercial construction job sites as well as contractor offices.

Daily travel in the assigned territory to commercial construction job sites and contractor offices is required, with frequent in-and-out vehicle

Qualifications

• 2+ years outside sales experience required.
• Degree preferred, industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Daily rigorous travel in assigned territory to commercial construction job sites and contractor offices.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and prospects in territory and account/site assignments.
• Own the customer relationship with day-to-day service and special or emergency deliveries.
• Regular, quality sales calls to customers and prospects in an economical and systematic order.
• Introduce new products and make joint sales calls with Vendor Reps and NEFCO Sales Management.
• Assist inside sales during the quote/order process and maintain strong relationships.
• Follow up on quotes generated by inside sales staff with urgency.
• Consult with Sales Management on large quote opportunities.
• Share competitive information with Inside Sales to improve quoting activity.
• Develop new business via market intelligence, directories, and leads from existing customers.
