Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers in Ohio. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage ongoing projects, and gather product-use data while visiting job sites as needed.

This full-time role offers commission-based pay with uncapped earning potential. Candidates should have sales experience in building materials, knowledge of construction basics, and

Qualifications

• Experience in sales within a building materials environment.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sold job and the ongoing relationship with customers.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain up-to-date customer information.
